Basic photographic black and white techniques including camera, lens, film, exposure, developing, printing, and mounting are covered. Students will deal with composition, tonality, and sharpness; as well as expand their knowledge of form, shape, line, and texture. Contemporary photography is studied and looked at in historical and social context.
